Under the name ‘Information Seminar on Financial Planning through Life Insurance’ a seminar was held at Nasandhura Palace Hotel on 24th March 2008 from morning 9.00 am to 12.00am. Introduction speech was given by Managing Director of Allied Insurance Company Mr. Abdul Wahid Thowfeeq followed by Allied Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of STO, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed speech in which he highlighted that taking Group insurance products for employees would facilitate both companies and employees by having a workforce that is protected and at the same provide for their future retirement . In his speech he told that Allied new branch in Addu will be opening during this year to give Allied customers better services and all the preparation is in force. He ended his speech by thanking the entire participant in attending the seminar.
The chief guest of the function, Acting Minister of Higher Education, Employment and Social Security,
Mr. Abdul Rasheed Hussain gave a speech on how Allied Insurance Company had evolved and diversified over the years in introducing various ranges of insurances products to Maldives. Hence, briefed about the importance of Life Insurance and the need and benefits that it may offer to the community.
The presentation was given by the Life Manager of Allied Insurance, Mr. Srinivasan for an audience of over 110, participated by private and public sector of Maldives.
